Bookmarking and Staying Organized Online
I created a Wakelet bookmark collection focused on Equity in Education, accessible via this link: https://wakelet.com/i/invite?code=51r1ecbt. To better understand the student perspective, I intentionally used my phone to build this collection, as many students may only have access to mobile devices at home, rather than tablets or PCs. This approach allowed me to evaluate the platform’s usability through their lens.
While Wakelet’s free platform is highly valuable and compares favorably to Pinterest, which I’ve used extensively for its free resources, I encountered some challenges. There was noticeable lag when typing, and deleting certain sections proved difficult. Despite these minor issues, Wakelet’s functionality aligns well with my existing organizational tools, including Google Drive, email, and traditional bookmarks, which have long supported my resource management as an educator.
I believe Wakelet has great potential to enhance how we organize and share multimedia resources to keep students engaged, and I look forward to exploring its features further to streamline classroom efficiency.
Best regards,
Mike
